I went to check on my TT yesterday, and noticed that I had left one of my blinds open. The blind had been open for about 5 days. I was so mad at myself. I normally leave all my blinds closed while in storage. All I can think about is someone looking in my TT. I don't know about you, but I don't want people looking inside my TT, especially those trying to look inside to steal the contents. Has anyone else left a blind or blinds open while in storage; or do you store your TT with the blinds open?

We keep our blinds closed and also have silver foam sheets in each window, not so much to keep people from looking in but to keep the sun from fading rugs and upholstery.

Our trailer is stored inside..we keep them open.Supposedly, it keeps the pleats in better condition (probably just some of that Forum BS)If we stored our trailer out in the open, exposed to the sun and elements we would keep them closed.

Open to prevent mold and mildew.

We store at home/under cover 24/7, and do keep the day shades down for sun protection for the upholstery. Re keeping the pleats in better shape, have no idea, but we do raise them when we go out to do some work or just to enjoy a glass or two and some time contemplating future camping. The good news is that before too much longer the trees planted near the Rockyport will offer much better shade.

Do you keep you blinds open or closed while in storage?

Yep we got them open, they stay open all year around but it didn't help this time. We did have an extremely wet period. We have them open and added damp rid inside. That seems to be helping.

We park our trailer at home, and our DS plays in it almost every day, so it gets ventilation. But I keep the blinds closed on the street (south) side to help keep the heat down.

Closed to keep fading of interior at a minimum and VA heat down as we have 90 + degree days. I hope your dog bites me and I can then sue you because you admitted he was vicious and didn't restrain him. Happened to friends in CA,. They turned dog in house after finding front door ajar. He bit a guys finger off and they paid $22K in damages.

When I have mine outside they are closed to prevent sunfade. When I tuck it in the garage (it is a teardrop so it fits nicely) they are pulled open as it is easier to get in and out (one window is the door). Used to people trying to see inside, that comes with curiosity about a teardrop.

Park at home, keep blinds closed and foil bubble wrap in windows, to keep sun and heat out. I even leave the AC unless I am going away without TT, because the sun heats it up so much. I do leave the AC set somewhere between 85 and 90, which isn't cool, but cooler than the outside temps of high 90's to low 100's.
