Bottom line, if you daily drive a vehicle all winters in the rust belt, either take active measures or expect significantly reduced lifespan of body panels and other components.
But back to mkirsch truck, I’d expect a vehicle to last longer than that nowadays with even a little care like he did with regular car washes.
