Sure if you really abuse it, it can rust but a few scrapes and usually no rust...yet they don't seem to be able to do it on the body panels?
Blaming the owner for not pulling the truck apart regularly to clean the hidden interior spaces is just silly.
You’re saying the insides of truck beds are treated differently than the rest of the body panels? Never knew that and have never seen evidence of that.
Not oddly, the inside of a truck bed is not exposed to near the road salt and debris/ moisture accumulation and if not covered, receives a fresh water rinse every time it precipitates. Dilution is the solution to pollution….
Around Western WA, rusted out vehicles are very uncommon or very old. Yet they see more “moisture” than most. Although even when they get coated with mag one day when it’s cold and frosty and the road crews dump mat by the truckload, the next day they are getting a free undercarriage wash in the rain. It makes a huge difference.
