Absolutely, the whole truck has been abused but it seems to run well and I'm only into it $4500
THe new thermostat didn't help. I'll try a flush but I fully expect to be buying a new rad.
How is your your oil dump ventilation doing? If you have too much blow by the oil mist collects on the radiator which attracts dirt. This decreases radiator efficiency. Radiator on a diesel best checked for cleanliness when removed. Do not pressure wash the radiator. Check the entire radiator with an infrared heat gun. Check both radiator houses. Be sure the lower hose is not collapsing. Are the vehicle brakes dragging? Check with temp gun. Has the fan clutch been replaced? When was radiator fluid replaced? Correct type? Correct water?
