dodge and allison transmissions
Now I got a 99 V10 dodge ram 2500, I have put 3 transmissions in it in 10 years. Its a work truck obviously... But I wanna throw an Allison transmission in it. Is it possible? please let me know

It would cost far more than the truck is worth though. Besides, with a good rebuild your trans is every bit as strong as the Ally.

I'd replace with a more robust Dodge tranny. They were known to be weak in stock form in those years. We also had a 2001 46RE which failed at 75K miles.
