The people that can afford to buy these cars are not worried about the price of fuel. and the Demon is not a to and from work car.
I`de like to see them make a track version of these cars to go after some SCCA races!
I see waaaaaaaaay more Hellcats in my area than I see Eco Diesels. I can guarantee you I'll see some of these Demons in a very short order when they hit the market in my area.... even in the grocery store parking lot.DirtyOil wrote:

I'll second that!
But I'm worried... Fish are you feeling ok, bud? :W
I'm sure your not worried :W... But thanks for asking! :B- I would love to get a "HellCat" engine and put it in my Ram 1500. Just can't afford an engine that costs as much as my Ram did new.

Looks, sound, gadgets and sub 10 second production car are all very impressive.
Has Dodge figured out how to make cars turn yet?
You mean like Ford's Mustang... can't go down a straight line nor do a road course.

Perplexed by what stupid people attempting to do burnouts has to do with road-track cornering capability in production cars? Makes me wonder if you have any idea what you are referring to.
Both Ford and GM have been making big strides in improvements for suspension and cornering capabilities on their higher horsepower cars and really left Chrysler in the dust, so to speak.autoweek wrote:
Through the slalom, the Hellcat felt like a battleship. It really just looked comical--it was so out of its element there. Around the skidpad, it wasn’t so great, either.
And that was my experience actually driving a SRT Charger. Now if Chrysler has worked on cornering capability with their Track mode, very good for them as I was VERY turned off by the SRT I drove which did not have a Track mode. - jimh406Explorer III

That could be funny if Mustangs haven't been doing road courses for 40 years. - DirtyOilExplorer

Quite misleading. I was all excited to see a new model. :(

The Demon is a drag car so no attempt was probably made to make it handle. OTOH, the SRT with it's drive modes does very well in the curves. Put it in TRACK mode and it's a raging beast. Get some heat in the Pirelli's and it's on! - RedRocket204ExplorerLooks, sound, gadgets and sub 10 second production car are all very impressive.
