A Ram 2500 6.4 will have around 2900-3100lbs for payload. Plenty for a 27' TT. A 3500 Ram 6.4 will have around 4,400 lbs for payload. Plenty for a 5th wheel. Unless you know for sure that you're going to be hauling 1500lbs in the truck while towing the TT, then you would be wasting the extra capacity of the 3500 and giving up the better ride for you drive to work and where ever.
