Your truck is almost 11 years old and Ram is going to make an issue right.. I would think, out of courtesy, or standard procedure,they asked you if there were anything else they could do for you. Doubt they made up a recall just to get you into the service dept,and THEN, bait you to spend even more money:R
Anytime I take my truck in, I'm always asked if there is anything else they can do for me and I take no offense in them asking. Same courtesy was always afforded to me from Chevy Service dept over the many years I owned Chevy trucks. I sure wouldn't read anything into it.......you pay nothing for a recall.....and no one is twisting your arm to have anything else done on your truck....
