.you pay nothing for a recall
Not really so much true. I have to drive 100 miles round trip to my dealer. The recalls are spaced out and some people try to get them taken care of as soon as they get them so with 6 recalls that's 600 miles of fuel and my time which is 50-100 dollars an hour depending on what I'm doing. Even buying the truck I don't spend much time. I see a truck I want I go to the lot and ask for their best deal. They come back with a stupid deal and I will get up out of the chair and go to walk out. I tell them up front I'm not there to haggle. I've done my homework and know what they can sell the truck for. I believe I talked to you by PM on the gray truck I bought and that deal was done by phone because I walked out. The GM called me and made an offer that I was looking for.For most people time is nothing but for me it is.
I have worked in shops a lot in my life and have seen what goes on in them and if any way possible I do not take my vehicles to a public shop. When I need tires, the wheels are removed and I carry them in and watch as the tires are installed on the wheels and balanced.
