That bets the 139,000 I got out of my 48RE. I spent $1900 that included a three disc billet, trans-go shift kit and complete rebuild kit. There are plenty of people that can build you a good trans as long as you/they use quality parts.
What kind of warranty are you going to get. The warranty issue is the main reason I let them supply the parts. I was going to order a kit with a converter from Dave but if something went wrong say one or two years down the road I would have to pay to have it pulled and rebuilt all over. With them supplying everything I have a three year warranty on the trans and lifetime on the converter. Something to think about IMO.
