Dodge/Ram 3500 changes.

Even though I have a fairly new truck I'm always truck shopping. I like trucks. I noticed that Dodge, or I should say Ram is offering the 3500 SRW in ALL cab configurations now. Before the SRW 3500 only was availible in one cab configuration which I think was crewcab but I can't remember. Also you can now get the Hemi in a 3500. Its about damn time! Just wish they did this 3 years ago, although I do like my Ford. Payload ratings seem to be much more respectable too. Yesterday I saw a Ram 5500 with a 9 foot pickup bed hauling a backhoe and skidsteer on a fifth wheel trailer. Impressive. Chevy better hurry up and get back into the medium duty market before they get left in the dust.

Choice of two, 5.7 and a new optional 6.4 410HP Hemi for 2014.

    Now I really want one!
  • I recently saw (a few issues ago in Trailer Life?) that the Dodge 3500 can be configured to tow 30,000# :E

  • IIRC the quad cab is no longer available in the 4G models... only regular, crew and Mega cabs are the choices for SRW 3500.
