I'm in the process of installing the Lance bed plug and 8 ga wires to the truck battery in our 2018 F350.
In the 3 previous Ford trucks we had, I just used the factory wire to the 7-way plug and it never worked properly. After about 5 hours of driving with the frig on 12v, the camper battery would be pretty much dead.
