There's no way the one you linked works with a built in sat radio. I just didn't want people to order that other one thinking it would work.
Anyway, what year truck? Mine is a 2014 with one integrated antenna for both nav and sat radio.
Thanks
My fault, you are right about which antenna to get.
My truck is a 2006 3500 mega cab dodge.
That makes sense. On one hand, I like that I only have one hole in the roof for the combined antenna. On the other hand, having separates would sure make it easy to fix this sat radio problem. Having the new nav system with uconnect that integrates iPod hookup and Pandora, iheartradio, etc, sure makes it much more bearable though. At least until you get into those remote areas that don't have cell service. - TCINTNExplorer

GPS works with camper.
Bought and installed this for XM
Can you please explain how this works with the factory nav unit? I have one of these Garmin antennas that connects to an aviation GPS and can't understand how it would communicate with the nav unit. It has the antenna and tuner all integrated while the 8.4AN in the ram has the tuner in the head unit.
The antenna I bought at Best Buy was for XM or Sirius Radio. With my camper on truck my GPS still works. I took the trim off below glove box on passenger side and when you get in there I believe the connection is yellow and you disconnect that antenna wire and plug in the one I showed. Then run it out to hood where you can pick up XM.
Okay??

That might work for your year of truck but I believe the newer Rams have a dual antenna setup and the Sirius/XM and GPS antennas are in the same puck. On my Ford it was that way as I tried the puck mounted on the front of the truck and the radio worked just great but the GPS stopped working. I had to buy the Ford antenna and install it on the cowl to get both to work again. I'm still checking on the Ram and I think I'm going to have to buy one from Ram and install the same as the my Ford install. - TCINTNExplorer

Bought and installed this for XM - joe_b_Explorer IIThe same with my Chevy. Nav works fine but the XM cuts in and out. I too purchased a hood mounted antenna but haven't installed it yet. Your nav system will track numerous satellites for the signal, where the XM on has only the one satellite, to get a signal from and when the camper blocks the signal, no radio for me, and others it seems.
- egarantExplorer IIIDitto what GpnAZ says.
- GpnAZExplorerYes, my factory nav works with the camper on, but the XM radio is in and out with the camper on. I plan to put a XM radio antenna in another spot up front.
