When we camp, we don't want to feel like we're dragging our whole house along, therefore have trouble understanding the need for "bigger is better". No offense intended. We want to CAMP, not sit inside with the electric fireplace. Our HTT gave us exactly the feel and amenities we wanted. But one thing and another, we did move from our 23SS - which really only has a 20'+ box - to a Rockwood 2604 - which really is 26'4". Seems huge. We love it and it does make a yearly trip with our DS, his wheelchair and lots of misc stuff a lot easier job. Personal opinion is that if you're not trying to have full-time sleeping space for a large family, a 24 - 26' or so is the perfect size. It'll fit most anywhere. Many campgrounds have sites that will fit much larger trailers, but maneuvering them around the curves and trees can be a problem.
