dometic control comfort remote

Question

Greetings all! I am rookie TT owner. I need some help from seasoned RVers!;-) My problem: I changed the batteries in my dometic remote control thermostat, and now Not all of my icons will appear. I have the owner's guide, but that was no help to me. It worked fine before I changed the batteries.

Have you done a 'system reset'?

SYSTEM RESET
Turn the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF' position.
Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to 'ON'.
FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE and ZONE push-buttons are released.

Thanks for the response old-biscuit...however, my remote thermostat doesn't have a zone button. OR if it does, it's not labeled.  It's even more frustrating that when I try to turn unit on(heat) by pressing the button in ceiling, it still doesn't work. It just blinks red. :-(

I know these are the obvious.   Are the new batteries in the right way?  Check the voltage of the new batteries to make sure they are good?  Have you tried putting the old batteries back in to see if you can get one last gasp from them?

When replacing batteries.......clock displays 0:00 and has to be set again.

When pushing 'Set' button for clock IF you happen to also press 'reset' button all settings will be lost and need to be re-entered.

Have you tried.........reprogramming the remote?

That's what I don't know how to do is reprogram the remote.
