Dometic refrigerator Questions ??

I have a Dometic refrigerator /freezer in my TT.On a recent trip in summer heat my refrigerator barely got cool. It was on propane most of the time.I checked to see that when electric was disconnected the propane burner ignited just fine and lit up but not much cooling resulted.
When I got home I did a test and bypassed the circuit board and ran 120 v direct to the heating element. It froze and cooled great. So I think the refrigerator is OK but somehow not working on propane. I see the flame but looks small. Any way to know what correct flame size should be ? Appreciate thoughts and comments why cooling only on 120v and not propane.. Thanks and appreciate feedback
  • I had a service
tech turn the flame on mine up a little bit
  • Dometic refers have an adjustment bulb on the far right hand fin at the top of the refer box. There are instructions online on how to adjuat it.
  • could be your burner needs cleaned not a hard job ,you need to watch a few U tubes if you don,t know how ,or ask a friend.
  • COULD BE:
    LOW Propane Pressure
    Dirty gas orifice
    Dirty burner

Moving thermistor in food compartment Up/Down will NOT make any difference unless fridge has 'auto temp control' but that would affect temps whether on electric or propane

Propane flame should be BLUE and reach up into bottom center of flue opening
Flue/flue baffle dirty will NOT transfer heat properly

    Example of proper burner flame...Dometic/Norcold

And when seeking info it helps to post BRAND and MODEL
Dometic has made numerous models and version of models over the years.
