Dometic/Sealand Traveler lite 110 leaking after repair

I recently had my TravelerLite 110 toilet seal start leaking and would not hold water. I picked up a new seal and initially for about a day it held water again. Then it started to leak again, any water it after a flush was gone after only 10 of 15 seconds.

I cleaned the toilet ball but it still leaked so I decided to get a new ball and spring. Replaced it, rotated the seal since it looked like the ball had slightly deformed the newer seal. It held water for a few hours but after a few uses, it was leaking again and would not hold water.

I tried using the tongue depressor like cleaner for the toilet and was able to slip it in the hole while the ball was open. Then slowly release the foot pedal so the ball would close on the cleaning stick. Then gently pull the stick out. This seemed to help the ball and seal make a clean connection and finally stop leaking.

As soon as I would use the toilet again it would leak.

I am not sure how to fix this problem at this point. So I am looking for suggestions.
It is my first travel trailer(used 2006 Keystone Springdale) that sits on some property I purchased. So I really can't take it to a dealer, and I am a newbie to this stuff.
  • I don't know how much your time is worth, but I would have bought a new toilet by now.

  • I have had it apart twice, and I can see no way how the thick seal could be pinched. Looking for other options?
  • You probably pinched a seal when you reinstalled everything. Time to take it apart and start a serious inspection, especially the seals.
