Dometic Sealand Toilet Leak

My Dometic Sealand toilet leaks when the lever is raised to fill the bowl. In the picture, there is a black seal in the middle with a brass pipe above it. I removed the plastic cover for the arm that fills and empties the bowl to see this. Water gathers above the black seal when I lift the lever to fill the bowl and then will spill over.

Can I repair this? What parts would I need and how would I replace them?

Thanks.

  • I had the same leak about 2 months ago. I noticed a drop of water on the floor. We were traveling and did not want to take the time to fix or repair it. I stuck a small cup to the floor under the valve and continued on our travels thinking that the cup would catch any water that leaked.
The strange thing is that now over 2 months later, not a drop of water has leaked. :h
If it leaks again, I will replace it.
  • Simple, simple fix. $25.00-35.00 online for the whole valve and takes less than 10 minutes. Just did mine last week. Not worth worrying about a larger leak.
  • when i see 'toilet seal' i think bowl seal and water on the floor ?

yes water valve can be replaced
  • Thanks. I have ordered the replacement assembly. Wow - this forum is a wonderful resource!
