Welcome to the OP. Reporting issues is exactly what all folks who had issues need to do. Many complain in online forums but won't take the time to file a complaint with the NTSB.
That said, I'd bet that these were 15" tires. I've done a lot of searches on this issue over the past couple of months. 95% of the anecdotal online reports involve 5ers or 30'+ trailers with Towmax 15" ST tires. I only found one that involved 14", and 2 that were 16". Not one 13".
My 13" Towmax are in their 3rd season on my trailer and are 4 years old according to the date stamp. I've read similar experiences about others with 13" Towmax.
Here's the point, don't blindly change out your tires without some research first. Yes, when it comes time to replace, look at a better brand. But if you change them out of fear, you may simply be throwing money away. Know exactly why you are changing them.
