My camper came with the same crappy tripod jacks as yours. The owner before me replaced them with hydraulic jacks on all four corners.
Unfortunately, as mkirsch surmised, the internal framing was too flimsy in the corners. Three of the four mounting brackets worked loose.
Currently, I am using 3000# Brophy Cable Camper Jacks. They are amazingly stable and quick and easy to use.
