Nice work Eric! No need for the jumper test at this point.
However, since the switch/fuse/breaker cycling seems to have helped I would suggest that you continue to look for the actual source of the problem… it does appear to be a loose/intermittent connection. Based on what you have told us, I still suspect the problem is within the converter/power-center.
Intermittent electrical issues can be quite challenging to solve (especially over the internet). A few years back I had a similar issue (slide would retract, but not extend) and I ultimately tracked it down to a broken solder joint on the slide control board. Hard to find, but easy to fix. (photos below)
