Well I got home and started at the electrical problem.
I called Adventurer and they indicated there was a 30 amp type 1 fuse under the step where the converter is which might be overheating so I wanted to replace that for sure.
Second, I wanted to check out the electrical camper shut off switch located at the rear of the camper accessed behind a locked panel.
First off I was still getting 1.5 volts less at the converter than a direct read from the batteries when the testing began.
I tested the shut off switch, that was working fine.
I looked for the 20 amp fuse under the step to the bunk, I could find nothing....I looked under the adjacent kitchen sink, nothing....
It has to be somewhere.... there is a short false wall in the rear of the kitchen sink cabinet leaving about a 3 inch space to the actual rear wall of the cabinet....could it be lurking behind that? No way to stick your head and shoulders in that far so I grabbed my iPhone and hung it over (held on tight!) snapped a pic and what do you know, TWO fuses.
I carefully pull the staples from the panel, release the silicone seal and they are now accessible.
ALL the nuts on the four fuse posts were LESS than hand tight!!! One nut showed black burn marks on it, probably from arcing off the loose connection.
I tightened up all the nuts and what do you know, exact same battery voltage readings EVERYWHERE!!!
I am going to replace them both with 30 amp type 1 fuses.
I attached some pics. If you look carefully you can see another set of holes directly above each fuse, maybe they were higher at one point during the construction process, but pretty shoddy non the less.
Thanks for all your help, if these fuses were not hidden I probably would have found the problem a lot sooner.
