I did similar, but not the same.
At age 81 last year I decided I didn't want to haul a large trailer any more, but we still wanted to snow bird.
We lucked out and found a deal that we couldn't refuse on a RV lot in Key Largo, FL.
We then sold our travel trailer, and bought a new longer and bigger one that we had hauled in and installed permanently.
Then we bought a tiny old used PUP in excellent condition that we use to commute to and from the Keys as well as an occasional week at a state park.
Right now we are happy campers,
