In doing my research on what truck fits my situation and budget, I kept seeing DPF... Looked it up... So is it worth doing? My only actual experience with tuners is on my Harley which required it w...

I can't imagine taking a brand new $50K+ truck trashing it by doing "deletes". They have very little effect on FE and as others have explained, can cost you plenty in the end.
Buy the truck and drive it and enjoy it for a while before thinking you have to do anything to it.
