Odd how some will rationalize annoying behavior as OK because it's less annoying than other more annoying behaviors.

My brother was on a scouting trip and needed a quick throwdown camp for the night. He drove off the highway on a dirt road across a sagebrush flat a few miles and was having dinner when a car appeared on the horizon. it got closer and closer, stopping about 50 feet away, and the fella started setting up camp. My brother walked over to him wearing his sidearm, and told him "If I wanted neighbors, I would not have camped here". The fella left in a hurry.
The point is, that if you want to camp near others... You gotta understand that someone will annoy you....Just as you are sure to annoy someone as well.
As we are driving away, I'd be on the phone to the cops telling them how there is some crazy guy flashing a gun at people passing by...probably won't send him to jail but I'm sure he will love spending a couple hours discussing with the cops.
Good luck with that. Like many remote places we camp in, there is no phone service. Any problems you have, you gotta deal with it yourself.
And yes sidearms are a fact of life in those situations.
I don't have a problem with carrying a gun. I grew up with guns. While I don't carry, I have several friends who do.
You were the one who felt the need to point out he was carrying a gun, I took that to mean he implied a threat with it. Otherwise, why would the guy leave in a hurry? - JIMNLINExplorer III

Some just can't keep their weird politics out of the OPs simple non political question about drill motor for stabilizers.
I like the yellow cordless drill motor. Its easy to spot when I leave it on the ground.
But it's all relevant. We've had 11 maniac waving gun incidents in this one single state park during the last 2 days over drill motors, 16 over loud music, 5 over yapping chihuahuas, 7 over dogs pooping, and 4 over bucket lights in trees.
The problem is looking at drill motor issues thu political glasses when politics (neocon or libs) has nothing to do with the OPs simple question. - I use a 20v DeWalt drill. I like it better than an impact as it make nearly no noise.

So someone with a holstered firearm equates to "flashing a gun" roflmao, freaking liberals. Good luck with that indeed. - HuntindogExplorer

Interestingly hearing the sound at least 50 times yesterday afternoon, holiday weekend at a 100% occupied state park, did not ruin the weekend. - jpmyersExplorerMy Ryobi works well on the jacks. My stabiizers are hooked directly to rig power.

Something tells me that a state with enough open space for that kind of camping wouldn't have a legal problem with a holstered sidearm out in the boonies. Of course, the description "flashing a gun at people passing by" would be just plain lying. No better than the "Karens in Florida" that we keep reading about.
