Driving with the frige on?

Our new TT is our 3rd rv. Started with a pop up, then a motorhome. In both our old rigs we traveled with the refrigerator running. For some reason I have not in our new TT. We are planning a trip that will require 2 days to get there. It would be nice to keep the frig and freezer cold. Is it really that unsafe to travel with the frige running?
  • From the time I was a teenager in the 60's,and my folks had the Airstream, to now, with my RV, I have always traveled with the fridge and freezer running. It is impractical to think you would want to unload it and turn it off every time you hit the road to travel to a new spot. I'm unaware of anyone having problems leaving the fridge and feezer running on propane in transit..
  • leave it running. I have driven many many miles with no problems. And I think most people here will agree with that.
  • I always have the refrigerator running on propane in our Southwind.
    We've never had any problems.
I don't think it would be any different in a TT.
Does your manufacturer say it's unsafe to travel with the refrigerator running?
