If I'm stuck behind slow moving traffic, I will put on my 4-ways to alert drivers behind me to slow down. Once I have a vehicle trailing me, I will turn them off. I also use them in poor visibility fog, rain, snow or dust if I am traveling slower than the posted speed. If there is an accident or obstruction on the road way ahead, I will also turn on the 4-ways until clear of it.
