I've got an AF1150, so if I drop it from the truck, it's got to be held off the ground a minimum of ~14" to clear drains & lines.The owners manual states to never leave the camper on the jacks for any extended amount of time, and gives dimensions for support at a minimum of 3, 6" wide points across the basement floor. I've not been able to build a platform to support it fully like I'd like, but have it set on 3 12" lawn timbers perched on cinder blocks and leveled out. Those aren't traveling with me....so what do you do in camp?Also, it's pretty heavy, so foldable options aren't likely.Just curious....who drops their camper, and how they do it?Also....I have such a hard time loading it just right into the truck....that I tend to want to leave it in the truck for the season if possible.

Are they concerned that the tub is going to pull loose from the upper part or that the floor is going to pull loose from the sides of the tub, or what? Since your AF May or may not be out of warrantee , you might be able to modify it to make it usable on the jacks. And again, that may have gotten written into the original AF owners manual for no real reason.

Yikes...don't drop your camper...this is what happens.Never heard of a camper that can't be stored on jacks for extended period (ever drive by a TC dealer?). If our's isn't on the truck, it is on the jacks (at home). As a rule, we never unload when out traveling...but if we did, I would lower as close to the ground as possible-leave the front ~ 2" high-and not worry about it.Don't stress-camp!Bill

I drop my camper at a site routinely, probably more common than leaving it on the truck if I am in one place for more than one night.Brian

I always offload my camper. The wife has MS, so it's a must to have it as close to ground level as possible. My camper is only about 1600#s. I have 2x6's under my camper for truck roof clearance, then I use 4 aluminum stack type screw jacks with the 2x6s on top to support the front and rear of the camper floor. I try to distribute the weight between the floor support and the jacks. Personally I don't think it's good to use, or store your camper without the floor being supported. For loading, I have a laser set up that sits on my dashboard and shoots a beam straight back to my camper. With a centerline target on my camper, it's a snap to back up in perfect alignment.
