Like others have said...it's not that the SRW is not stable! The DRW just feels more stable. SIDEWALL FLEX is something that no one has talked about. I have towed my current rig with both a SRW and DRW. On a downhill grade with corners is where I notice the biggest difference. The trailer would try to push the rear of the SRW in a sideways feeling and the DRW is like on Railroad Tracks. If you've ever driven a mid 90's Grand Cherokee and been over an angled RR crossing...you know the bowl of Jello feeling we're talking about.
