twodownzero - A good point on the truck's intended use. Fact is, I am seldom off the pavement, and not often in snow. I am willing to pay a bit more for offroad and snow features. I can tolerate tire noise for an aggressive tire. The very mild all terrain tire is probably my best choice.
2BLAZERS - I am hesitant on the DuraTrac, but I do think I want the Snowflake.
usmcshepherd - Do you have a sway bar? What is the "Tuff Duty" they refer to?
bb_94401 - Any particular reason you did not go with the Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx?
sky_free - Do you have a sway bar?
Junket - Ken, could you expand on the other tires you would consider? What suspension mods have you made? Do you have a sway bar? It appears our trucks and TC weights are very similar.
Thanks for the feedback. It is all good stuff. I would further appreciate your indicating whether or not you have a sway bar. I am pretty sure I want a snowflake rated tire. I prefer minimal sidewall flex due to its promoting sway that is difficult to control even with an anti-sway bar.
I really hate shopping for tires, just too much propaganda from the manufactures. You can spend lots of money just to find out you made a bad choice.
