For years I have recommended to add 12-1500 lbs to the dry weight. I`m at 2k lbs over the dry weight. and I still have 2100lbs to go before I hit the GVWR of the trailer. and yes you want the tongue weight to be around 12.5% of the trailer Loaded ready to travel weight!
