Then I weighed our TT after it was fully loaded for camping for two with typical stuff like BBQ, sewer hose & fittings, chocks, water hoses, dishes & utensils, a few appliances, food, clothes, some basic tools, etc., etc.... That came to only 555 lbs.
Only 550lbs for food, clothes AND camping gear? Really? I must be a fat packer because my TT alone w/ permanent camping gear alone is about 800lbs more than empty; and food and clothes (dog food, camera, lap-top, book, 6-pack, bottled water,...) is an easy 500lbs. (more for longer trips.)
To the OP... conversation is getting off track with how to pick your truck and don't trust the government comments, but thanks for sharing your personal experience with loading and weights. :-)
