I have a DRW that is basically a dedicated recreational vehicle. Even then, if I were buying today, I probably would not get another DRW because I don't need it.
Those that state the width isn't a problem in parking garages and drive-throughs have a different experience than I do. I recently had to take my truck to the airport. Parking was no problem because I got there before most others, and parked up tight next to a pillar, all in one space. Between the length and width of the truck, I had a very difficult time getting it out.
It is my experience that it is a challenge to fit through a drive-through, an automatic car wash, or even my garage. Just because the mirrors fit does NOT mean the truck will fit, unless you are going straight. Try to turn too early, and you will hi the hips. If you don't believe me, take a look at how many DRW trucks you see with hip damage.
