Dually Chip Gaurd Graphics

I have a 2014 Ram 3500 Dually I have only a couple thousand miles on it but it seems every time I take it out I am touching up nicks on the front of the dually fenders.

My question is, has anyone addressed chip guard on their dually fenders with some cool vinyl graphics? I am not much for graphics, but I am less about nicks. Thoughts?? Pictures would be awesome!!!!!

  • I put clear paint protection film on mine. Some I got done at a shop (3M stuff on the hood and fender fronts), and the lower rockers I did myself with some stuff I got on ebay. Pretty simple to apply, and you can hardly see it's there unless you know what to look for. I'm sure there are shops in your local area that apply the stuff.

    Here's an example: http://www.customautoshield.com/

The stuff I have on my truck's hood is actually "self healing" when hot/warm water is applied. Here's a VIDEO.
  • You can have clear paint protection to your dually fenders. I did mine back in 2005, no chips yet.
  • Check on the mud flaps, molded from putco. They are pretty wide and has certainly helped, but still getting chips.
  • Have you put mud flaps on your front wheels. This has helped with mine. I used ridgid ones custom formed for the truck.
