We bought new Michelins tires in 2011 . I used a pop cycle stick and a very sharp pencil to make a mark for the tire depth . yesterday I measured the depth using that stick. 5 tires showed the pencil mark was just above the rubber and one tire was the same as new. Hard to believe but true and the same as last summer when I checked. 17000 miles and 2 rotations only because it is free. I will rotate soon. After I rotate and come home I torque the lugs because nobody has done a torque correct ever for me. Michelin tires are the highway tread LTX M/S 2. No cracking but if or when it happens it will be a no more Michelin tire purchase for us.
