My local tire dealer told me he cold rotate for about 125.00. Thats breaking down each tire mounting on proper wheel, to keep chrome out. Would also balance each wheel and tire. I will probably do that before RV season hits. By the way Ford wanted close to 500.00 for the same rotation. I may try running 5 lbs less air in outside tires. Has this procedure worked for any of you?
And this is why most don't rotate dually tires.
The rotations will cost far more than any additional treadwear you gain.
I just run them till they need replacing. Usually its the fronts or the rears. So the bill isn't too bad.
So my tire guy does free rotations. I have been able to 80K out 2 sets of Michelin's. I'm on my 3rd set now.
I rotate at 10K or so.
If I can get 80K out of a set of tires . I'm willing to endure the hassle of rotating.
Dog you bring up a good point. How much extra wear does one gain by rotating?
