Maybe this Discount Tire got a new machine that's a different design, and the extended valve stems are now in the way.
You probably have "free rotation for life" from Discount Tire, right? Don't want to pay for rotation, right? Ok, so don't rotate the tires.
Your only other choice is to find a place that has a machine that can work around the valve stems and pay them to do the rotation.
