Dumb question ?

Dumb Husband, Dumb Wife, is how I usually read it. Same goes for Dumb Son and Dumb Daughter. :)

Boy, am I out of the loop. It never occurred to me that the D might be a bad word -- I just always assumed it stood for Darling. It took me a while to figure out BIL, MIL, SIL, and DIL, too.

Ok so some of my ideas are correct. I thought the D might have meant one specific thing. A misinterpretation by DW could result in a rolling pin on the noggin.

Dear or **** depending on the context

Well, I always thought it was Dear Husband / Dear Wife. But I suppose you can substitute the "D" for any number of "choice" words, depending upon how you feel today. Only YOU will know what that "D" REALLY stands for!

It means whom ever typed it is lazy!
