Dump Valve Replacement

On our '95 Sunnybrook, the black water dump valve is leaking. I use the GEO method, and when I remove the cap, a cup or two of blue water runs out. I know this is coming from the black tank because the Calgon and laundry detergent are blue. So far, the cap has not leaked.

I'm thinking that in the spring when I dewinterize, I need to replace the valve, or at least the seals. What is the proper thing to do there?

Are these seals standard? If so, where is the best place to get them? And since the drain part comes off both the black and gray valves, I should replace them both while I'm in there.

Thanks for your help.
  • As a follow up to this story, I had my local mobile RV repair guy get me a new waste valve and connection cover. I replaced them both a couple of weeks ago. No more leaks!

Whenever possible, I like to give this repair guy my parts business. He lives only 3 miles away, and it is so convenient to pick up the parts at his house.
