DURAMAX GLOW PLUG
I have a code for number 4 glow plug. How long can you drive with glow plug code? I do not live in cold weather area. Not sure I understand what glow plug does exactly. Thanks

The only current Cummins automotive diesel engine that I know have glow plugs is the ISV5.0 V8 found in the Nissan and other light-medium duty trucks. All of the inline six engines, large or small, us fuel and/or grid heaters. It is easier and more cost effective(for the manufacturer) to put glow plugs on V configured engines while it is very easy to put a grid heater on the intake manifold on an inline six engine.
