It seems obvious to me you have an auxiliary fuel tank to hold 41 gallons at a refueling.
Exactlly. Auxiliary tanks, while a fine idea, one I would not do without, can exacerbate condensation that leads to a water issue.
OEM filters are not capable of capturing more than a a bit of liquid water, perhaps incapable of capturing water whipped into a froth with the diesel from the transfer tank pump.
