All truck makers will have failures. I feel bad for the OP but water in the fuel seems to be a recurring issue with diesel motors of all makes. Now if it had been a Ford engine that failed you would have the Blue Oval hate club faithful here bashing them for 3 weeks for their failures. I agree also that the dealer may not have been competent in this matter but being on the road you were in a pickle to keep going without submitting to their diagnosis and repair plan.
