If you really look at those 30K plus towing numbers and do the math, you'll see they will more than likely run out of load capacity long before they reach those magic 30K plus towing numbers. Most of the new breed trucks will still reach or exceed GVWR in the 20K to 22K of 5er, as the trucks run approx 9K in towing trim, add 4K to 5K pin weight and you at or over GVWR.
