Guess you did NOT read the article. They upgraded the torque converter. You can state the Allison is a MD trans if you are talking about the 3000. What application is the 1000 used in that is MD ? BESIDES something GM.
GM is loosing out on heavy hotshot haulers. I know not a lot but there is no doubt if GM could pass the SAE testing towing over 30K they sure would. So now the big 3 comparison will be dumbed down to 23K towing of a Gooseneck.
