Um...mis-conception on how a TC works...
Unlocked...it has up to 2.5 times torque multiplication...200 ft/lbs could be 450 ft/lbs...this at stall and that is designed into the OEM components...tuners changes those OEM dialed in specs
Locked...No multiplication...200 ft/lbs is it and *NO* heating of the ATF
The why ATF heats up while unlocked. How much it heats up depends on the amount of multiplication...AKA slip or shearing of the ATF as more throttle is applied. The fluid shears as it transfers from one vane to another and there is a reversing of ATF directing...that is the torque multiplication of a TC
