Locked...No multiplication...200 ft/lbs is it and *NO* heating of the ATF
The why ATF heats up while unlocked. How much it heats up depends on the amount of multiplication...AKA slip or shearing of the ATF as more throttle is applied. The fluid shears as it transfers from one vane to another and there is a reversing of ATF directing...that is the torque multiplication of a TC

Um.... I understand full well how a TC works and how it multiplies torque. However, you cannot multiply horsepower and as the case with the data logs on my 68RFE, the truck is programmed not to give you full power until the TC is locked for the heating reasons you stated.
