I'd take the Duramax over the Cummins....possibly even over the Powerstroke. They are all three pretty fantastic engines .... I just think the Cummins is a little less refined than the other two. In a tractor, I'd pick the Cummins.
I'd take a Duramax over a cummins too... And the FCA/Cummins suing each other and now the ram owners suing FCA over the emissions scandal is just too much drama.
My dad recently purchased a Duramax truck and test drove a ram cummins as well and the dead pedal and just the lack of power was an issue.
This post is about as valuable as a $3 bill.
Hopefully your dad got a 2017 with the new fuel pump. But if he didn't, at least GM is more likely to honor his warranty than the other unfortunate CP4 owners out there.
