It depends on how hard you are on your TT.
We passed on the offer because we purchased a used TT and outside of a twice a year wash and wax, we do not baby our TT. I doubt at trade in time a protective coating would mean much.
If you trade often and your TT is mint condition, a protective coating may help it maintain its value.
