DVD/RADIO upgrade

daveor, I will be installing one of those Jensen units in about a week. The RV is in Gasquet, I'm over on the coast. I won't be able to give any long term feedback, but I can tell you about the look and feel of the Jensen.

prefer 12V DVD, it is what we watch when we can't get any tv,, too remote for stations to come in.

I have the 975 and it works great. I plan to upgrade the speakers this winter for better sound. The Jensen is a direct replacement sizewise for the Concertone of the past few years...also offer a wireing adaptor for plug-in setup to existing concertone harness

the radio we have right now is pretty much the same size as the Jensens. Need to check the reviews a bit more on them I guess.

am looking at the Jensen AWM 975, I don't need bluetooth, but like the noaa weather radio feature,, It also has HDMI, the 3 way switch for the speakers too,, Anyone have one of these and are they any good.. Sound good on the ads.

I really do like the Jensen AWM968. It has AM/FM/DVD/USB/BLUETOOTH. Speaker modes A/B/C.

The original stereo had A/B/C speaker selection to turn on/off living room, bed room and outside speakers. Because conventional car stereos do not have this I use the fader control to turn on/off living room and bed room and mounted an A/B speaker switch to select the bed room or outside speakers.

I also mounted an Auxiliary and USB jack for plugging in my phone or USB stick.

I wired in a bypass so all functions work in RV. Works so much better than the cheap POS stereo that the trailer came with.

I don't remember the brand but our trailer had essentially an indash receiver/cd. We replaced it with a AM/FM/HD with most inputs known to man. No it does not do dvd's to my knowledge but I am only on page 400 of the owner's manual. I keep falling asleep after the 3rd scotch and I can't deal with the translation from Chinese or Korean when sober. I do find I can get good music without incessant ad interruptions in nearly any location, even those that have AM/FM searches that give only gospel and bad country throughout the dial, yea HD!

LOL on the falling asleep.. I do want to play DVDs, but like to be able to get decent radio too.
