IMO, if it is a TRUCK, and expected to work like a TRUCK, it deserves Light TRUCK (LT) tires.
Load range C, D, Or E is your choice, as is tread pattern (I always install M&S tires. Traction is a wonderful thing!)
If it is a "Toy Truck", or a "fashion statement", and never carries anything other than a 150 pound driver and 110 pound passenger and perhaps a 10 pound yapping furball, then P tires are perfectly adequate. That, too, is just my opinion, and is NOT to be taken as a factual statement.
